Innovation Spotlight—Flushing Hospital Medical Center Fights Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is preventable and manageable, making early recognition and handling of pre-diabetic symptoms by providers essential to complete care. In 2015, Flushing Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) launched a community-based initiative, in accordance with the National Diabetes Prevention Program, to reduce diagnoses of type 2 diabetes in pre-diabetic patients.
