Community Health Spotlight – University of Rochester Medical Center boosts diabetes prevention
Studies have shown that lifestyle interventions can effectively deter the development of diabetes and other chronic metabolic diseases. In 2011, the Center for Community Health and Prevention of the University of Rochester Medical Center launched the Rochester Diabetes Prevention Program to increase community capacity for diabetes prevention through lifestyle change.
