New York opioid trial to begin in 2021
Jury selection for the New York state opioid trial is slated for January, with proceedings to begin in February or March. New York State Attorney General Letitia James filed a suit against opioid distributors and manufacturers in March 2019.
The lawsuit alleges that six manufacturers and the Sackler family engaged in false, deceptive marketing practices and holds them largely responsible for the opioid epidemic in New York.
