HHS announces major investment in behavioral health

HHS this week announced it will distribute $3 billion through Community Mental Health Services and Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment block grant programs to help communities grappling with mental health and substance use needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as establish a new Behavioral Health Coordinating Council.

Additionally, HANYS will submit comments to OMH and OPWDD on the distribution of funding through the block grants and temporary enhanced FMAP. Contact: Sarah Duvall
