House subcommittee advances mixed bag of healthcare legislation

The bipartisan healthcare bills advanced by the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health this week include HANYS-opposed legislation that would impose site-neutral payment reductions for the administration of drug services furnished in hospital outpatient departments. The package, which also includes HANYS-supported legislation to delay the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital cuts, could be considered by the full Energy and Commerce Committee as early as next week. We encourage HANYS members to join us in Washington for delegation meetings in conjunction with AHA’s June 6 Advocacy Day (RSVP to Sarah Crandell) to push back against site-neutral cuts and other harmful policies.
