HANYS awards stipends to support community health, health equity projects

Select community partners of HANYS’ Advancing Healthcare Excellence and Inclusion member hospitals were awarded $20,000 stipends to support community initiatives that improve the health of marginalized populations. These initiatives include a doula training program, a boxing program to prevent gun violence, increased access to healthy foods through urban farms and food pantries and support for older adults in rural communities.
