Using APIC's IPC Acuity Scale for Crisis Situations

Feb. 10
Webinar

11 a.m. - noon

This event is open to HANYS members and non-members.

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Prevention recently urged hospitals and infection preventionists to work in collaboration with leadership to prioritize patient safety in times of crisis. During this webinar, APIC faculty will discuss the driving forces that led to the development of the Infection Prevention and Control Acuity Scale for Crisis Situations and offer ideas of how to strategically incorporate and use this resource.

At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • discuss the background and development of the tool;
  • give two examples of situations during which this tool would be used; and
  • list two examples of how this tool could be used as part of a risk assessment in an infection prevention and control crisis situation.

This webinar is part of HANYS’ Commitment to Excellence Emerging Quality Trends Series. Each session will cover a different cutting-edge topic to expand healthcare providers' clinical expertise and share proven best practices to deliver high-quality care.
