Leveraging the MATTERS Network to treat OUD and support harm reduction

March 28
Webinar

This event is open to members and non-members

Learn how the MATTERS (Medication for Addiction Treatment and Electronic Referrals) Network rapidly connects individuals with opioid use disorder to community-based medication-assisted treatment programs through referrals from emergency departments and hospitals. We’ll also discuss how MATTERS can support hospitals’ harm-reduction initiatives by providing essential supplies such as fentanyl and xylazine test strips (100 of each for an individual and 1200 of each for an organization, as needed), among other services.

Learning objectives:
  • describe the main principles of the MATTERS Network, including assessments, medication access and linkage to treatment;
  • understand the integration of harm reduction principles into the Network; and
  • learn key principles of the MATTERS Network and how it can support hospitals.
This webinar is part of HANYS’ Commitment to Excellence Emerging Quality Trends series. Each session will cover a different cutting-edge topic to expand healthcare providers' clinical expertise and share proven best practices to deliver high-quality care.
