HILNNY Lean Webinar: Implementing Leader Standard Work in Ambulatory Clinics: Lessons from the Field

April 21
Webinar

Noon - 1 p.m.

Registration is open to HANYS Members and Non Members

Description:

Leader standard work is a practical lean concept consisting of a set of actions, tools and behaviors incorporated into the daily activities of leaders at all levels in order to sustain lean operational improvements. LSW is not easy to achieve, but the payoff for your hospital and clinic is instrumental.

Participants in this HILNNY Lean webinar will hear experts from General Physician, PC share their first-hand lessons learned while implementing LSW at their facility using the GPPC Management System. The GPPC Management System includes four key components: 1) dyad model, 2) leader standard work, 3) visual management and 4) leader accountability. GPPC has moved away from traditional management behavior, requiring a shift in mindset and a fundamental change in how managers allocate their time. Use of the LSW managerial practices outlined in this session will allow hospitals and clinic practices to:

? use a dyad model to ensure co-decision-making among clinical and administrative leaders;
? use LSW to help uncover problems quickly;
? create daily, weekly and monthly habits that improve performance;
? develop the next level of leaders at their organization; and
? deliver on our promise to our patients and stakeholders.

Presenter:
Robert Gollhofer, Chief Operating Officer, General Physicians, PC
