Opioid use and OUD treatment during COVID-19 and beyond

This event is open to HANYS members and non-members.

This session will address current epidemiology, new legislation and innovative resources in supporting persons with opioid use disorder. Clinical responses and current trends in substance use and overdoses will be explored and various buprenorphine resources will be discussed in the context of COVID-19. The webinar also will highlight New York MATTERS updates.

Learning objectives:

  • review new resources being developed to address opioid use/OUD;
  • identify current trends in substance use and overdoses;
  • describe buprenorphine resources and other low threshold resources in the context of COVID-19;
  • review New York MATTERS updates; and
  • present current epidemiological statistics and briefly discuss new legislation.
