Ongoing intervention is key: Sustaining HAI prevention success

Dec. 8
Webinar

Noon - 1 p.m.

This event is open to HANYS members and non-members.

This webinar will explore healthcare-associated infection prevention results before, during and post-COVID-19.

The discussion will include strategies for reducing patient harm caused by hospital-onset infections and sustaining HAI prevention during challenging times. Mount Sinai staff will offer challenges and interventions aimed at sustaining HAI prevention in healthcare facilities.

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • identify compliance issues with insertion and maintenance bundles for central, peripheral and indwelling urinary catheters;
  • implement effective strategies to prevent device-associated infections and evaluate the outcomes of these interventions;
  • describe communication measures that promote inter-professional partnerships to implement HAI prevention strategies;
  • understand the importance of active, ongoing infection prevention surveillance for early determination of HAIs.

This webinar is part of HANYS’ Commitment to Excellence Emerging Quality Trends series. Each session will cover a different cutting-edge topic to expand healthcare providers' clinical expertise and share proven best practices to deliver high-quality care.
