NYS Partnership for Patients Reduces Hospital-Acquired Conditions

Hospitals and health systems in New York State continuously strive to improve care quality and the patient experience, and are devoting tremendous resources to myriad voluntary and mandatory quality initiatives. The vast majority of New York hospitals participate in the federal Partnership for Patients program to reduce hospital-acquired conditions. As a result, there has been a 30% decrease in central-line associated blood stream infections and a 20% decrease in ventilator-associated pneumonia.
