CMS releases new Medicaid work requirement rule
The interim final rule details implementation of new Medicaid work requirements in H.R. 1, which go into effect Jan. 1. HANYS’ Member Update highlights critical aspects of the final rule, including policies that have serious implications for hospitals like provisions related to exemptions from meeting the requirements and changes to the hospital presumptive eligibility process. HANYS will work with members to develop and submit comments by the July 31 deadline.
