State regulatory activity

This week DOH adopted an amendment to the 12-week rule for foreign medical school graduates and limited permit allowances, expanding the number of physicians who can practice in post-graduate training programs and removing requirements for additional years of post-graduate training for limited permittees. DOH also updated proposed regulations on ionizing radiation to conform with changes to federal requirements and technological changes in imaging and radiation therapy — similar to the previous proposal that expired in April.
