Managed Care: Strategies, Weapons, And Tactics (SWAT)

November 1 - 2, 2017
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tarrytown

HANYS is pleased to bring you its acclaimed 2017 Strategies, Weapons, And Tactics (SWAT) program, which provides hospitals with technical and tactical training to better engage and negotiate with health plans. Join us November 1 - 2, 2017, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 455 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591.

This year's SWAT program, Health Systems and Payers: Moving the Needle Together—What Will it Take? is designed to help you gain the competencies and skills needed to tackle daily friction with health plans, develop stronger contracts and tactics for unregulated plans, and strengthen your position as you become better partners in value-based payment.

At Health Systems and Payers: Moving the Needle Together—What Will it Take? you will hear from thought leaders and those with demonstrated success in the areas of payer-provider partnerships, value-based payment, Medicare Advantage, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), overcoming denials, strengthening contracts, and managed care.

Highlights at this year's two-day SWAT program include:

  • results from Revive Health's annual payer and provider Trust Survey and how it impacts the transition to value-based care;
  • a deep dive view of Albany Medical Center's cutting-edge program for complex case management and handling patients who are difficult to discharge;
  • experts in how to handle Medicare Advantage and ERISA plan appeals and denials, as these products are growing and becoming less regulated;
  • examples of tactics from the field building on New York's managed care laws in strengthening contracts, tracking data, and deploying internal teams to minimize denials and loss in revenue; and
  • identifying common political ground and shared views with payers to build better partnerships.

A block of rooms is reserved for the nights of October 31 and November 1 at the DoubleTree in Tarrytown, with a special $162 room rate. You must register by October 11 to receive this rate.
