Description:
This session focuses on verbally screening pregnant people for opioid use disorder and using Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) as part of the NYS OUD in Pregnancy and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Project. HANYS is offering this webinar in partnership with the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative and the NYS Opioid Use Disorder, Maternal Outcome and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome initiative team.

Objectives: Attendees will:

  • understand the importance of using a standardized questionnaire to verbally screen all pregnant people for OUD;
  • be aware of various standardized questionnaires to verbally screen pregnant people for OUD;
  • better understand the SBIRT process; and
  • have knowledge of helpful tips for implementing verbal screening for OUD and SBIRT.
