Healthcare innovation and 5G

Jan. 12
Webinar

1 - 2 p.m.

This event is open to HANYS members and non-members.

5G has the potential to transform the healthcare industry. High-speed connectivity and the ability to connect up to 100 times more devices can improve patient and physician experience. 5G's speed and reliability can support everything from life-saving technological advancements to telehealth and other forms of virtual care like wearable devices. The webinar will cover:

  • the importance of and challenges posed by connectivity in the healthcare industry;
  • 5G's potential for improving patient care and outcomes;
  • frequently asked questions about 5G including the technology necessary to make it a success, health and safety concerns, policy challenges and misinformation that threatens to curtail its deployment; and
  • the role of fast, reliable connectivity in post-pandemic economic recovery, with a particular emphasis on healthcare.
