Antibiotic stewardship and appropriate antimicrobial prescribing are essential to decreasing the development of antimicrobial-resistant infections and the spread of infectious disease. This webinar will share how Intermountain Healthcare developed and implemented a multifaceted antibiotic stewardship initiative throughout its large, integrated urgent care network. Presenters will discuss the importance of the healthcare network for implementation and alignment with service line leaders.

At the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to explain the:

  • importance of healthcare networks in implementing antibiotic stewardship practices;
  • need for antibiotic stewardship in urgent care clinics; and
  • method for developing and implementing a large-scale antibiotic stewardship ambulatory intervention.
