Microsoft Excel for healthcare professionals

This event is open to HANYS members only.

This virtual, interactive training is designed exclusively for individuals working with healthcare data and will provide useful tips to enhance your Microsoft Excel skills in this setting. The course will use practical, real-life examples of Excel’s role in healthcare data. Participants will gain efficiencies while learning to aggregate, analyze and present data.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • navigate the Excel interface and enter, manipulate and format data;
  • use formulas, functions and pivot tables when setting up quality improvement datasets and doing preliminary statistical analysis;
  • present data in user-friendly ways, including basic visualizations for displaying audit results, budget reconciliation and performance improvement projects.
