HANYS Health Information Technology Strategy Group Meeting at The Sagamore

This program is for HANYS' HIT Strategy Committee Members only.
At this meeting, HANYS' Health Information Techonology (HIT) Strategy Group will discuss Stages 1 and 2 of Meaningful Use and New York State's Health Information Exchange (HIE) strategy. HANYS will also host an information dinner on the evening of the 23rd for HIT Stategy Group memebers.
Agenda
1 – 4 p.m. HANYS HIT Strategy Group Meeting: Evelley Meeting Room in the Conference Center
- Stages 1 and 2 of Meaningful Use – an update on the latest on registration, certification and attestation for Stage 1, and what to expect for Stage 2;
- KLAS’ Analysis of Vendor Efforts to Meet the Challenges of Meaningful Use – Karen Ondo, Executive Vice President, KLAS Enterprises, LLC, will speak from the perspective of an independent vendor product analyst as to how the vendor marketplace is changing pursuant to ARRA, and what you should be thinking about when making HIT procurement and upgrade decisions; and
- New York State’s HIE Strategy – Dave Whitlinger, Executive Director of the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) will deliver a presentation and engage the group in a dialogue on the state’s Health Information Exchange strategy and how it intersects with federal HIE policy and Meaningful Use; and
- E-Quality Measurement Reporting – Robin Raiford, Executive Director, Federal Affairs, Allscripts, will lead a discussion on the current quality reporting objective under Meaningful Use and what we might expect of increased e-quality reporting requirements under Stage 2 and in general.
6 – 8 p.m. Dinner for HIT Strategy Group Members at La Belle Vita
8 – 10 p.m. Join other HANYS' Annual Meeting attendees for music and cocktails lakeside on the Veranda Terrance

The deadline for booking your reservation at the conference rate is May 21. HANYS will cover one night's accommodations. A credit card deposit of one night stay is required to reserve the room. The room charges associated with a night’s stay will be credited at checkout.
HANYS also encourages registration for our Annual Membership Conference, which needs to be done seperately, as there will be various speakers and educational sessions on timely subjects,

If you are a member of HANYS’ HIT Strategy Group, HANYS will cover your travel and lodging (arriving June 22) expenses associated with attending the HIT Strategy Group meeting.
