New York Hospitals Are Committed to Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship
ALBANY, NY — The New York State Department of Health today released the 2015 Healthcare-Acquired Infection (HAI) Report. The report highlights hospitals’ increased adoption of evidence-based antibiotic stewardship programs and improved testing, which contributes to better patient outcomes over time.
HANYS is proud of our members’ commitment to improving quality and safety. We look forward to continued work with our members through the HANYS Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative and the New York State Partnership for Patients to advance the work in these areas.
We appreciate the ongoing partnership of the New York State Department of Health in support of hospital quality improvement. HANYS will continue to lend our expertise in infection prevention and measurement through our active engagement in the New York State Department of Health Antimicrobial Resistance Prevention and Control Task Force and the DOH HAI Technical Advisory Work Group.
