HANYS’ Statewide Opioid Addiction Prevention and Management Collaborative supports members’ efforts to improve the delivery of care to patients experiencing opioid addiction and manage the care of patients with substance use disorders. Our Opioid Lunch and Learn sessions focus on key themes identified through member feedback in regional roundtable sessions, including alternative pain management, coordination of care, data implications, stigma, and prescribing practices and protocols.

Kathryn L. Cates-Wessel CEO, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry Principal Investigator/Project Director, Providers Clinical Support System and Opioid Response Network

This presentation will provide an overview of two nationally funded Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grants awarded to the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and its large coalition of national professional organizations collectively representing over one million health professionals and other stakeholders. These two grants, Providers Clinical Support System and State Targeted Response - Technical Assistance focus on providing education, training and mentorship at no cost on evidence-based practices in the prevention, treatment and recovery of opioid use disorders.

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

• tailor their organizations to address lessons learned by AAAP during development and implementation of PCSS and ORN training resources
• identify and utilize no-cost training resources offered in a variety of educational formats via PCSS and ORN channels
• utilize PCSS and ORN websites to identify and make use of the available educational resources
